What a fantastic adventure it was, traveling from library to library in Southern Louisiana! The week of July 11, 2022 was nonstop, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I met so many wonderful, welcoming people and had such an amazing time! (And ate some delicious seafood along the way!) Thank you to all the libraries who hosted the show, from St. Charles to Lafayette!
New Iberia was especially lovely; the history in this quaint town is palpable. I had to stand outside of the old library building and take photos for about 10 minutes before going in! A few shots are included in this post.
I was even able to teach an art class, in Sunset, Louisiana–The Washboard Capital of the World! (Although the kids ended up teaching me something in art, as usual!)
But as always, the best part was the families! Thank you to everyone who came to the shows and got involved. Let’s keep on reading and exercising this summer–and all year long!
